Hi Sarah Believe it or not the thing that causes most of the running problems on the C4 is the brake light switch,It is located under the left side of the dashboard 4 wire plug,If your C4 is left hand drive then it will be under the right side of the dashboard,These switches fail and cause all sought's of problems including running problems,silly messages coming up on the dashboard,But the New to this forum but in need of a genius!!
