My advice is just pick whichever area intrests you the most. The Teutonic campaign was my favorite but its probably best to start with the grand campaign if your new to total war.

Inns are buildings in Medieval II: Total War. A Inns helps entertain people and thus increase Happiness. Building Inns can be bad, as most of bad governing traits for Generals come from Inns.
