The new MX5 with is making 170hp at 7000rpm. 230hp should be possible at higher rpm. the advantage of the 2.0 is better economy, if you don't push it. 2000 Black Focus SE sport.
I have pre-facelift MK2 Focus (date of production: 2nd of May 2006) with 2.0 16V Duratec-HE (107 kW; A0DA) engine. The car doesn't have LPG or CNG or any other alternative fuels (nor it ever did). I only use Super 98. The mileage is around 183.000 kilometres. I changed the spark plugs when car had 135.838 km on the clock.More power. When you bolt a 2.3 head on a 2.0 block, you get instant improvement in flow through the head and can make more HP at higher RPM. Add a header, a decent intake manifold and some stage I or II cams and you can easily get about 180-190 WHP from the 2.0L engine, depending on your tune and type/octane of fuel used. [race]
